Sanjay Patel is the visionary Founder and Managing Director of Tembo Global, a company he established in 2010 to build a trusted and innovative brand in the industry. Under his leadership, Tembo Global has expanded its national and international footprint, becoming a market leader through a commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous innovation.
With over 40 years of experience across manufacturing, retail & wholesale trading, exports & imports, Sanjay has cultivated a distinguished career spanning multiple industries, including engineering products, textiles, and general merchandise. His strategic foresight and deep industry expertise have been instrumental in scaling businesses, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving sustainable growth.
Before founding Tembo Global, he gained invaluable experience at Chimanlal Enterprises and through various independent business ventures, where he sharpened his expertise in market analysis, procurement, finance, and taxation.
Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai.
Mrs. Fatema S. Kachwala
Executive Director
Mrs. Fatema Kachwala is a seasoned professional with a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Pune and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business.
Bringing over 11 years of experience, she has developed a well-rounded understanding of business operations, with a strong foundation in human resource management. Her thoughtful leadership and strategic perspective continue to contribute significantly to Tembo Global’s organizational growth and planning efforts.
Shabbir Merchant
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Shabbir Merchant is an experienced investor and entrepreneur.
Mr. Shabbir Merchant serves as the Non-Executive Director of Tembo Global. He holds an MBA in Finance from ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad, an LLB from K.C. Law College, Mumbai, and a B.Com from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. He completed his schooling from Christ Church High School, earning his ICSE certification.
With over 20 years of extensive experience, Mr. Merchant has built a strong track record in:

Mr. Shabbir plays a pivotal role in contributing significantly to Tembo Global’s strategic growth and operational efficiency.
Shalin Sanjay Patel
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Shalin Sanjay Patel’s diverse skill set, anchored by advanced degrees in Computer Science, empowers him to excel across multiple facets of Tembo Global Industries Limited. He effectively manages production planning, drives strategic diversification and capacity expansion, and leads sales, marketing, and product promotion initiatives. Notably, he is also spearheading the Tembo Global’s digital transformation, implementing automation to streamline processes and maximize financial returns.
Mr. Shalin Patel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University at Albany, New York, USA.
Firdose Vandrevala
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Firdose Vandrevala is a seasoned business leader with over five decades of multi-industry experience across steel, power, telecommunications, real estate, and management consultancy.
An Electrical Engineer by qualification, he began his career in 1972 with Tata Steel and rose to become the Deputy Managing Director of the company. He has held senior leadership positions across various Tata Group companies, including Chairman of Tata Teleservices and Managing Director of Tata Power, where he was recognized for his strategic leadership and operational excellence.
His contributions have earned him accolades such as the Wärtsilä Mantosh Sondhi Award for value-based leadership. Mr. Vandrevala has also worked with reputed organizations like Motorola, Essar Steel, and Hicro Developments, and continues to serve on the boards of several companies including Greaves Cotton Ltd., Premium Transmission Pvt. Ltd., and English India Clay Ltd.
Beyond the corporate sphere, he has played an active role in shaping public policy through his involvement with committees formed by SEBI and the Ministry of Finance, and has served on the boards of leading academic institutions such as IIM Lucknow and IIM Raipur.
With deep expertise in business transformation, governance, and strategic development, Mr. Vandrevala plays a key role in guiding the Tembo’s long-term vision and growth.
Ms. Homai Daruwalla
Independent Director
Ms. Homai Daruwalla is an accomplished banker and Chartered Accountant with over 33 years of leadership experience across prominent public sector banks, including Union Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce, and Central Bank of India. Notably, she became the first woman from the Zoroastrian community to lead a public sector bank in India, serving as Chairperson and Managing Director of Central Bank of India. Under her leadership, the bank achieved a remarkable turnaround in both performance and growth.
Ms. Daruwalla was appointed Chairperson of The Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank Ltd., where she transformed the institution into a model of excellence within the co-operative banking sector. Known for her ethical leadership, results-driven approach, and passion for excellence, she continues to contribute to the financial sector as an Independent Director on several corporate boards.
Ajay Madan

Mr. Ajay Madan is a distinguished Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of extensive experience in the financial sector. His expertise encompasses corporate audits, direct and indirect taxation, and debt syndication, where he has played a pivotal role in structuring financial solutions for numerous corporations. Mr. Madan has also conducted forensic audits for various companies across the African continent, demonstrating his proficiency in identifying financial discrepancies and ensuring regulatory compliance. His deep understanding of the financial industry, coupled with a commitment to excellence, makes him a valuable asset to any organization.
Sumantra Sarathi Mahata
Independent Director
Mr. Sumantra Sarathi Mahata hails from the southern region of West Bengal, endowing him with a deep understanding of the cultural and business nuances of Eastern India. With over a decade of comprehensive experience in corporate secretarial management, including NCLT proceedings, ROC compliances, listing regulations, and allied areas, Mr. Mahata is a seasoned and well-regarded professional in the field.
His career spans across both the manufacturing and service sectors, including more than three years in listed companies. Since 2014, he has been in private practice and currently serves as a Partner at M/s Mahata Agarwal & Associates, Company Secretaries. The firm operates out of Kolkata, Dhanbad, and Mumbai, serving a diverse, pan-India clientele.
Mr. Mahata is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He also holds a Five-year integrated Bachelor’s degree in Law (Honors), an MBA in Finance, and a Diploma in Arbitration. Known for his thought leadership, he and his firm regularly contribute insightful articles on corporate governance and legal matters to ICSI publications and various professional web portals.
Nikunj Barot

Mr. Nikunj Barot is a highly accomplished Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of diverse experience in accounting, taxation, and financial consulting. He is the founder and proprietor of Nikunj Barot & Co., established in February 2018, and currently serves as a partner at Rajkumar Rathi & Co., Chartered Accountants, a peer-reviewed and CAG-registered firm.
A Chartered Accountant since 2012, Mr. Barot is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mumbai University.
His professional expertise spans across Direct Taxation, International Taxation, and GST Compliance & Litigation. Known for his analytical mindset and practical approach, he advises clients across sectors on complex tax and regulatory matters.
