Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior HR Manager with strong compliance expertise to lead our HR operations and ensure strict adherence to labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies. This role is pivotal in maintaining legal and ethical integrity across all HR functions while driving a high-performance, compliant work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Strategy
- Design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and promote a compliant work environment.
- Lead a team of HR professionals in areas including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and learning & development.
- Act as a business partner to senior leadership on people and policy matters.
Compliance & Statutory Management
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements, including:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESI)
- Professional Tax (PT)
- Gratuity, Bonus, and Minimum Wages Acts
- Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory filings and coordinate with finance/payroll for deductions and remittances.
- Maintain accurate employee records, registers, and audit logs as per legal norms.
- Liaise with government authorities during inspections, audits, and inquiries.
POSH & Workplace Conduct
- Oversee the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policy implementation.
- Manage the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and ensure training and awareness across all teams.
- Lead investigations into complaints and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.
Policy Development & Enforcement
- Draft, update, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook to align with evolving labor laws.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential gaps.
- Ensure employee awareness and training on compliance policies, workplace ethics, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Audit & Reporting
- Lead HR audits (internal/external) and ensure zero non-compliance findings.
- Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies as required.
- Stay updated on legal developments and advise management on new compliance risks and obligations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a compliance-heavy or HR leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing audits, statutory filings, and legal escalations.
- Proficiency in HR software and compliance tools (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, GreytHR, Zoho People).
