HDG Coated U Bolt

Application:
HDG Coated U Bolts are used to secure piping systems to structural members in industrial, mechanical, and plumbing installations. When pipes run below structural members, the U-bolt offers vertical support and restricts lateral movement while allowing axial expansion or contraction. When installed above the support structure, the U-bolt effectively prevents lateral and upward movement, still permitting thermal movement of the pipe. These bolts are ideal for outdoor, corrosive, or high-moisture environments due to their enhanced corrosion resistance.
Construction:
An HDG (Hot-Dip Galvanized) U Bolt is formed from a high-strength steel rod, precision bent into a ā€œUā€ shape with extended threaded legs to accommodate various pipe sizes and insulation thicknesses. Each U-bolt is supplied with two standard hex nuts and features a hot-dip galvanized finish, which provides superior corrosion protection and long-lasting performance in harsh or exposed environments. The thicker zinc layer from the HDG process makes these U-bolts particularly suitable for outdoor structural and industrial pipe support systems.
